After Your Appointment: Healing and Care
Eyebrows:
Your semi-permanent tattoo is a multi-step healing experience. Don’t be alarmed if your results change during this time this is completely normal and part of achieving your final, beautiful outcome.
Days 1–3: Bold & Defined
Immediately after your appointment, the treated area will appear darker, sharper, and more intense than expected. You may also experience mild redness, swelling, or tenderness. This is temporary and will begin to settle within a few days.
Days 4–7: Flaking & Peeling
As your skin begins to heal, you’ll notice light scabbing, dryness, or flaking. The color may look uneven or patchy during this phase. It’s very important to avoid picking or scratching, as this can affect your results.
Days 7–14: Fading Phase
At this stage, your pigment may appear significantly lighter or even faded. This is often called the “ghosting phase” and is a natural part of the healing process as your skin regenerates.
Weeks 3–6: Color Bloom
The pigment will gradually resurface and soften, revealing a more natural and balanced result. This is when you’ll begin to see your true healed color.
Aftercare is Everything:
Proper aftercare plays a huge role in your final results. To ensure the best healing:
• Keep the area clean
• Avoid sun exposure, sweating, swimming, and makeup on the treated area
• Do not pick, rub, or disturb the skin
• Follow all aftercare instructions provided
Perfecting Session
A touch-up appointment is typically required 6–8 weeks after your initial session. This allows us to refine shape, adjust color, and perfect your results once your skin is fully healed.
Your Final Results
Once healed, your semi-permanent tattoo will appear softer, more natural, and beautifully blended typically 30–50% lighter than the initial application.
Every client heals differently based on skin type, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare.
